AP / IB / IBT / SciTech Preparation
Prepare for Peel Region's Regional Learning Choice Programs with weekly mock-test based classes for IB, IBT, SciTech and AP.
The weekly routine stays simple. The content changes based on the entry level and the program your child is preparing for.
For students currently in Grade 5.
For students currently in Grade 8.
Use this section for elementary RLCP information only. Families can review the application timeline, the three programs Megamind prepares for, and the official PDSB resources without mixing them with secondary-school dates.

Weekly preparation focuses on Math and English, timed mock testing and skill-building before the application and assessment period.
This section is dedicated to the secondary application cycle. It includes the current 2027-2028 entry timeline, four program options covered by Megamind, and direct links to the PDSB secondary information.
Students enter an IB or pre-IB pathway that builds critical thinking, international-mindedness and stronger academic habits.

An enriched university-readiness pathway that prepares students for senior Advanced Placement courses and external AP examinations.
Weekly mock tests can cover English, Math, Science and Reasoning, with the prep adjusted as individual program requirements are released.
The same structured approach, tailored to whichever program and entry point your child is applying for. $260 a month, all in.
We look at where your child stands now and map out the specific gaps to close before the application window.
Very small dedicated groups. Every single class includes a full mock test, not just review, so your child is always practicing under real conditions.
Mock tests matched to each program, plus a group activity practice session before the exam.
Parents get regular updates on where their child stands and what to focus on before the application deadline.
Small enough that every child gets real attention, regardless of which program they are preparing for.
IB, IBT, SciTech, and AP each have their own criteria, and these can change from year to year. Our prep covers the mock testing and skill-building every program depends on.
RLCP prep is available at participating campuses across Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon.

Prep classes are $260 per month per program, covering one 2-hour class every week, weekly mock tests, and instructor feedback. Pricing is the same for both Grade 6 Entry and Grade 9 Entry.
Grade 6 Entry is the elementary RLCP application, for students currently in Grade 5, at a set of elementary and middle schools. Grade 9 Entry is the secondary RLCP application, for students currently in Grade 8, at a different set of secondary schools. Each has its own schools, timeline, and application process.
No. AP is only offered as part of the secondary program, with entry at Grade 9. At the elementary level, families can prepare for IB, IBT, or SciTech.
PDSB announces the exact assessment requirements for each program during its open houses, often only a few weeks before the assessment. Waiting until that announcement may leave students with very little time to prepare. Our preparation program begins earlier so students can strengthen their Math and English skills, become comfortable with timed mock tests, and prepare for possible written and group-based assessment components. Families should always confirm the latest requirements directly with PDSB.
Preparation classes are delivered as two-hour back-to-back sessions. During the first hour, students complete a timed mock test. During the second hour, the teacher reviews the test, explains the related concepts, corrects misunderstandings, and provides targeted practice. Preparation includes both Math and English.
Yes. Students receive homework and additional practice after class. The work is designed to reinforce the concepts reviewed during the lesson, improve accuracy and speed, and help students become more confident with the types of questions they may encounter during the application process.
Yes. Families may choose one-on-one preparation based on availability. However, our very small dedicated group classes also provide focused instruction, timed mock-test practice, teacher feedback, and opportunities to practise group activities that may form part of the assessment process.
